Kade's First Thanksgiving

So my parents came for thanksgiving and it was so much fun!! We just hung out and they got to be grandparents!! It was neat to see them with my son. Mom and I kept our tradition of going shopping on black Friday and we took Kade. It was nice to have time with my parents here in our new home! Dad and Jason worked on the house some, putting in new counter tops, new toilets and tiling our back splash. It all looks really nice now!!

Shopping

So I went shopping yesterday with a friend and our 2 kids!! It was a good day, it was nice to have a friend to hang out with that is going through the same things. She and I meet in the birthing class. Her little girl was born one week and one day before Kade, but she looks so much smaller than Kade. She is too cute too!! She and I went shopping for Christmas gifts for our husbands but ended up buying more for our kids, I think that is how it always ends up!! LOL We did get gifts for our guys!! It was just fun hanging out with her!!

thanksgiving 2008

So my parents came to visit for Thanksgiving. It was great having them here. My parents left on Friday November 21, they were suppose to leave around noon, but left at 4 AM to get here sooner. They called us to figure out exactly how to get to the house and when I went to check on Kade I saw them in front of our house!! It was great to have to get in around 5 instead of midnight!! Then we just hung out the next week, shopping and fixing up our kitchen!! Dad and Jason worked on the kitchen, and it looks SO nice. Mom and I did a good bit of shopping. On Wednesday evening Aaron and Jenny came over and stayed the night, and then on Thursday Kerri came. Aaron and Jenny went to her grandmother's house for thanksgiving dinner while mom, dad, Jason, Kerri, myself and Kade had dinner here. Mom and I cooked what seemed like all day!! It was some good food tho!! It was really nice to have my parents here for Kade's first thanksgiving! Wish we could have EVERYBODY here for his first Christmas. the one person that was not here that I would have loved to have here was my brother, but they are going to come visit soon!! On Friday my mom and I went shopping, but we did not get up at 4 AM, well I was up but that was to feed Kade. We went out around 10 and we got everything we wanted and a little more. There were a lot of ppl but mom and I have shopping black Friday SO much that we are use to it! Kade did really well too!! He had his first picture with Santa and he also went to a restaurant for the first time Friday!! On Saturday we all just hung out, mom and I did a little more shopping and we watch the Auburn/Alabama game. Mom and Dad got up Sunday morning and headed home which I was not ready for. I didn't want them to leave. This past week went by WAY too fast. I miss them already!! We will be going to AL at some point this summer, and I am looking forward to that. I am also looking forward to seeing my brother and his family in the couple of months I hope. they are going to fly up here!! I cannot wait to see them!! Now it is back to normal for a few weeks and then we will have the Smith family here for Christmas. Looking forward to that!!

Time Flies

Kade is now one month old!! Time flies and I don't like it. I cannot believe he is one month already. It does not seem like a month ago I had him. He has been such a good baby and growing so much!! Last time we went to the doctor which was Nov 11, he weighted in at 9 pounds 11 ounces!!! He gained a whole pound since we was born. I have no idea what he weights now, but I am sure it is close to 11 pounds!! LOL He is my pride and joy and I love him so much. I never knew I could love somebody so fast and SO much. I will have to say that I am ready to have another one already. I want him to have a little brother or sister soon!! Yea I know it's crazy, but it was a good pregnancy and labor and I am totally loving this mom thing!! It is awesome!!

Smith Family Visit

So Peggy and Earl flew in on friday evening and left today! Aaron, Jenny, Kerri, and Grandma Welch all came too. It was great seeing them and seeing them with Kade. Peggy we very excited to see Kade and I had to fight her to get my son! It was just a great weekend all in all. We hung out at the house and played pool. I beat Earl SO many times in pool! LOL Peggy, Jenny, Grandma, Kade and myself went shopping. Peggy got Kade an OSU shirt and socks. Oh yea Jenny got him the OSU blaket too! Kade's shirt says BABY... Born A Buckeye YEAH!! LOL Like I said all in all it was a great weekend and I miss having ppl here.

My parents are coming in just a over, and I will be nice to have them here.

Kade

So Monday will be 3 weeks ago that we had Kade and it is flying by. I want time to slow down so that i can take in every minute of his life. It makes me sad to think that he is almost 3 weeks old. I know it's lame but well that's me at the moment. I cannot stop staring at him when he is asleep or screaming his head off, either way I love him and dont want him to grow up too fast. So I am a little weepy but oh well. its not too bad but sometimes I will just be sitting here and look at him and cry, its totally not me, but then again I am a new mom. Well, that is all for now.

Kade's First Halloween

So today was Kade's first Halloween and I took him trick or treating, well kinda, I took him to Jason's office and the ladies were SO happy to see him. They were all "awwww... he's so cute" and they also said "You don't even look like you were pregnant, Brooke"!! That helped me SO much!! I cannot believe how quickly my stomach has gone back to "normal". I do miss the pregnant belly tho and I cannot wait to have another one! Yes I am saying this even with the few sleepless nights I have had already! I love my son and I cannot wait to have either a son or a daughter!! I told a nurse that the minutes after I delivered Kade. She laughed! LOL It was a wonder experience and I praise God He allowed me to experience it. I pray He allows me to do so again!

Kade Earl

So Kade is here, well he was born on Monday October 20. 2008. He was a good 8lbs 10 ounces, and 21 inches long!! He was and is a healthy baby boy!! He is the light of my life and I am SO happy he is here!! We are doing well so far, having some trouble feeding but Monday I have a lactation nurse coming out to help. I am very much for breastfeeding him. I cannot believe he is already 5 days old! today was his due date.

I went in Monday for a follow up non stress test for blood pressure issues. the doctor came in and talked to me and told me that I had one of two choices. I could either keep coming in and getting checked out or we could induce. Well, needless to day I decided to go ahead and induce. I called Jason and we came as soon as he could. They started the poticin and at 10:20 AM the doctor broke my water and Kade was born at 6:27 PM. The nurse said I pushed for just 30 minutes, but it didn't feel like that, it felt like 5 minutes!! the midwife that delivered Kade was awesome. As you can see in the picture he has a lot of hair and the midwife was joking around and said that she could put a bow in his hair... if he was a girl! (she said all this while I was pushing) LOL At first I didnt want a midwife to deliver him but she was awesome. She and I joked and laughed while I was pushing. I plan on using her with our next baby!

Having Kade was such a wonderful experience that I was talking about having another baby shortly after he was born. The nurses were a little shocked! I loved being pregnant and I am loving being Kade's mom!! Jason is a great dad and he is totally in love with his son!! It is neat to see him as a dad.

Our Anniversary and House

so this Sunday will be our 6th Anniversary! Cannot believe it has been 6 years, the time flies!! And not to mention our son is due a week from Saturday too!! It has been a great year this year, a lot of changes, all of which are good!! We are in our house and loving it! A couple of neighbors have already come down to welcome us and we are looking forward to trick or treaters this year!! We are in a neighborhood that has a good mix of people. The couple behind us says that it is becoming a younger neighborhood again. the people that were kids when they first moved in are having kids now, which is great for us. Precious is loving the fact that she is able to move and have more then one room to go to! LOL She has always followed me around but lately she is REALLY bad about it! I asked her the other day if she knew something I didn't! LOL She just looked at me like I was crazy! got to love dogs, she makes my day good!! As I am typing this she is laying on the floor staring at me. Gets on my nervous at times but what are ya gonna do, ya know? Oh yea, we still don't have cable. We did get a home phone and Internet and we will get our satellite hooked up on Monday!! We were suppose to have Charter, the cable company here, come out tomorrow but they gave us SO many problems with the transfer that we gave up on them. So those of you who live in AL and have had problems with them, just know that it is not just in AL, its up here too!! Anyway, got what I am hoping to be one of my last OB appts before the baby!! I will be 39 weeks Saturday!! Almost there!! Well, I think that is about it for now, I cannot think of any other news. :-)

New House

So we finally moved into our new house Friday!! We are slowly but surely getting things together. I am just happy that we are in the house and that we will bring our son home to our new house once he is born. I am loving this house and don't wanna move out of it!! the neighbors are really nice. We meet the people behind us and they have the cutest dog ever!! They said that the neighborhood is going young again... LOL. they built their house around 20 years ago and all the kids that were around then are having kids now so more kids for our kids to play with!! I just praise God He allowed us to find this place and that we got it! He is awesome and His timing is awesome!!

learned something new

So I was talking to Jason the other day about a winter coat and I thought I found one, well come to find out what I thought would be a good winter coat is considered a fall coat here!! So I had to get Jason's help to find a Northern winter coat!! LOL So today I ordered my first every winter coat, Northern winter coat that is!! It is cooling off here and so far I am liking it, its nice not to have to AC on and to have the windows open!!

No Sleep

OK so I guess today is actually October 1 and it is 2:40 AM and I am wide wake. I hear this is yet another joy of being pregnant! People keep telling me to get my rest and to sleep, well that is kinda hard when you are in pain and those nights you cannot sleep, and oh yea the getting up 5,000 times to pee. I know that it will all be totally worth it but for now oh my word! It would not be so bad I think if I did not have to worry that I would wake up Jason. I mean he does have to work the next day! Oh well, soon enough I wont be able to sleep due to a little one!! At least I will have somebody to look at or talk to then, not just watch TV or get on the computer! Oh well, here is to hoping I get some sleep soon!!

My Brother is the best!

OK so I just got off the phone with my brother and I knew I missed him but man I did not realize how much I miss him! Growing up of course we got on each other's nerves, but as we got older things changed and it is amazing to me how things changed. I love my brother and miss him SO much!! I wish he could come visit, its been since August that I have seen him. Well one day he will be able to come up here, I know i will see him next summer but it seems so far away, but it will be here before I know it and i cannot wait!

36 weeks and House

so I had an OB appt today and blood pressure went down and my platelets went up which is good, but they are still going to keep an eye on things! I go in Friday for more blood work and to get my blood pressure checked again just to make sure everything is going good. I will be 36 weeks on Saturday so any time after that he is more then welcome to come even tho we are not moved in to the house just yet.

Speaking of which we are closing Friday on the house, so Friday will be a busy day for me, but a good day, well as long as my numbers come back good. I am looking forward to closing on the house and being an owner of 2 houses yet again! WOOHOO!! I will just be happy to have a house and not an apartment!

The House

So we got a call yesterday from the sellers that they don't think the movers will be able to get everything out by the 24, which makes them think we wont be able to close on the 25th! Which is totally crazy, I mean there is not that much stuff in that house. When we moved to MS we got all our stuff out in two days, and they have no where near the amount of stuff we had. This moving company is driving me crazy!! Oh well, things will work out like they have already! Please pray that we can close as soon as possible so that we can get the house ready for us and for our little one!

Prayin

OK so i will be 35 weeks pregnant on Saturday and I am SO ready for this boy to come out, well no sooner then in 2 weeks but no later then 5 weeks!! He is loving my right rib and it feels like it he is going to either break it or push it out!! I know it all part of pregnancy but oh my word!! If any woman had told me about the pain I don't think I would be pregnant, OK so maybe I would be but it would be nice to know all this stuff. just a few more weeks left.

Oh yea, please pray that we get to close on the house here this coming week. for some reason the moving company does not think they will be done getting all their stuff out which is crazy. the house is not even full, and they don't think they can get it all out. I mean our house in Montgomery was totally emptied out in 2 days! Just pray they get it all out and that we can have the week to start working on stuff.

House

So today Jason and I went to a store called IKEA, and oh my word, that store is huge and there was a ton of stuff there!! But we went in and got what we needed and nothing more and even came out under budget!! I could have spent SO much money there! If you ever get a chance to go to one I would strongly encourage you to go, just if you don't wanna buy anything don't take a credit card! LOL But today was a great day, we got to spend time together, just the two of us! It is always nice to spend time with my hubby especially now with the baby soon to be here!

We are now 12 days away from closing on our house!! WOOHOO!! I cannot wait to get into the house and get the nursery together! Well that's about all!

OB Appt

So I went to the OB today and everything is going good. Baby is going and his heartbeat is still awesome to hear!! I am getting more and more uncomfortable as each day passes, and sleeping is getting harder and harder!! Matter of fact, just sitting is uncomfortable, I would rather stand or lean over a counter to take the pressure off my lungs which he LOVES to push on. The doctor also said that he is in position which is a good thing!! He also said that I can paint in the new house which makes me really happy. I felt bad about not being able to help move us from Biloxi and I wont be able to actually move stuff for this house either so to be able to help in this house makes me really happy, plus it will help satisfy the nesting!! LOL Oh yea, we close on the house two weeks from TODAY!! WOOHOO!!! We are excited and ready to get started on the work we want to do! Well, I think that is all for now.

Pray UPDATE

My mom had her surgery and is doing great! She sounded great this morning!! We are still praying that this will stop her sickness that she has had off and on for the past several years! Thanks for your prayers!!

Family Visit

So yesterday Jason, Kerri, and myself went to visit Grandma Welch and Aunt Virginia! It was great seeing them! Aunt Virginia turned 90 this month and she does not look like she is 90 years old! She looks great! Grandma looks great too! It was fun visiting with the both and seeing all the quilts they have done! They were excited to see all of us, and we are hoping to go back once the baby is born! Aunt Virginia was excited about her great great nephew! I cannot wait to show him to her!! Yesterday was a great day but a exhausting day! Who knew a road trip could take SO much out of you especially when you are pregnant! LOL

First Birthing Class

So Jason and I had our first birthing class today and we got a LOT of information!! We have one more class and I am looking forward to it, not sure how Jason feels about it!! The nurse that is teaching the class has also changed my mind about different things too!!

But we are doing good, we have anywhere from 4 to 7 weeks before he is due!! WOOHOO!!

this week

OK so this week has been a good one, got to see in laws this past weekend, and visit with brother in law, his wife, and my sister in law!! Always good to see them! Jenny and I went shopping for some baby stuff which is always fun! Precious got to play with Cali!! LOL So I had a dream that Jason called me and told me we were closing on the house and later that day he called and said we have a closing date!! WOOHOO!! Sept 25 wont get here soon enough! Also this week I have had two dreams that I am going into labor, one time my mom was here and the other it was just me and I have no idea where I was in either one of them! LOL I also got to spend some time with a cousin yesterday evening shopping for more baby stuff!! I think we know have most of our stuff, just some little things left, and no house right now to put it in! Soon tho, and I cannot wait! I have 4 to 6 weeks left... ready to see him but no ready either!

Also my mom had surgery Thursday morning! She went home later that day and is doing well! She has had a lot of problems before and we are praying that this will help with all that!

Pray

So I just talked to my mom and she told me that she is having surgery tomorrow morning (Sept 4). She is having her gallbladder taken out, which is about time. this is something she should have done years ago, but at least she is having it done now and we are praying this will stop all the problems she has been having! Please pray that her recovery will be quick. thanks!

Labor Day Weekend

So today we hung out with Smith family in Dayton and we went to park! On the way there we saw a white squirrel! It was the coolest thing I have ever seen!! Once we got to the park we walked to a small water fall and then played a round of disc golf! Which is always fun! We came back to Aaron and Jenny's house and Jason got to cook on his grill. He was happy about that. We have not had the grill since we moved into the apartment! We are officially under contract with a house and just waiting on the sellers to get their stuff out so we can close and move in. We did sell the house in Biloxi, the Tuesday before the storm hit!! Praise God for His timing! All in all it was a great weekend.

FINALLY....

.... we no longer own a house in Biloxi, MS!!!! We offically closed today on the house and now we are start the buying process on the house here!! TGBTG

60 days....

.... and counting!! Yes that's right 60 days until our son's due date!! Hard to believe that in 60 +/- days we will have our first born son!! Praise God for that, He is awesome!! The baby is doing good, kicking me like crazy just is the best feeling, well sometimes... LOL.

And oh yea.. WE GOT A HOUSE!!! We found out yesterday that the people accepted our first offer with no changes!! Also, we are to close on the Biloxi house today too!! So far this week has been awesome and its only Tuesday!!! The Lord is awesome and He works everything out for our good!! We praise Him for all that he has done!!

the Lord answers prayer....

..... WE GOT THE HOUSE WE WANTED!!! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!! Now I get to get put the baby's nursery together! We are super excited, and praising God for it all!! The ppl accepted our first offer with no changes! GOD IS SO AWESOME!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!

A House

OK so maybe finally we will close on our house in Biloxi this week, depending on if the insurance company feels like writing a policy! We are hoping they do so, so that by tomorrow (Tuesday, August 26) we can close since we have put an offer in on a house here!! Yes you heard me, we found a house here and put an offer on it yesterday!! We have already had one house sell out from underneath us, well I should say we really liked that other house and we were about to put on offer on that one when we found out it was under contract! The house we put on offer on I actually like better, it has everything we want/need in an house. Anyway, just please pray that if this is the right house for us that they will accept our offer, and if it's not that the Lord will help us find the right one.

Almost forgot

I went back for my three hour glucose test and I passed, so no worries with diabetes!! PRAISE THE LORD FOR THAT!!

Lazy Baby

So on Tuesday our son was really active and then for some reason on Wednesday and Thursday he decided not to move a lot if any, so being a first time mom and all I called the OB's office and he told me to go to the hospital to get a non-stress test, and as soon as the nurse put the monitors on he started to kick the monitor which is my son. He does that to the nurse at the OB's office when she is looking for his heartbeat. So in other words our son was just being lazy Tuesday and Wednesday, and he is fine, all is good. I guess he just wanted to go ahead and start stressing me out some!

On a different Jason and I have been looking for a house and we thought we found one, but we found out that it went under contract. So we went to look at other houses and we found another one that we like, so please pray that if or when we put an offer in that they will accept it! We like this house, well actually I like this one a little more then the other one, it has everything we want/need!!

I think that is all for now... a little more then 60 days tho until our little ones due date... getting so close, where does the time go!

Week in Alabama

So I just had an amazing week in Alabama with family and friends. I flew in last Monday and my mom surprised me by being with my brother to pick me up at the airport, it was a great surprise! On Tuesday, and Wednesday my mom and I just hung out with the kids and did A LOT of running around. Mom had to go back to work on Thursday so I had some practice of keeping two kids... fun fun!! On Friday I had the kids too and we did some running around and then we went to see my grandmother and waited some friends to come into town that I have not seen since we moved from Mississippi! It was great having them there for a baby shower! So yea I had a baby shower Friday night and it was SO much fun, got a ton of stuff! On Saturday my mom, and my two friends from MS went shopping and then we had to get ready for my niece's recital Saturday night, she did SO good!! On Sunday we went to church and then I had another baby shower with my church family and it was another awesome shower. It was great to see everybody at church. I love the church I grew up in and I miss it SO much!

Well, I am finally home and glad to be here but miss everybody in AL too!! I think that is about it for now, just going to go look at ALL the stuff I got from all my friends!

failed my test

So surprise surprise I failed my first glucose test and I have to go back in on August 13 for the good ole 3 hour test! Does not surprise me at all since my mom and my grandmother (on my dad's side) has diabetes! Anyway, please pray that this test comes back negative!!

Otherwise we are doing good, baby is active around 10 PM and around 4 AM!! I hope he figures out night and day soon! LOL I know... yea right!

Flying to Montgomery on monday and I am SO ready to go, going to miss Jason and Precious that week, but it will be nice to see family and friends! NOT looking forward to the heat!! Oh well, just a week and my parents have a pool!!

Nice Weather

So this will probably make you ppl down south mad, but it is 11:30 here on Wednesday and I am sitting in my apartment with our windows open!! It is SO nice and I am totally loving the nothern weather.... well for now!! I will let you know how I feel in oh about 2 or 3 months when it gets COLD and snowy!

Anyway, things are going good. Jason's bosses last day is today, so he will start working by himself tomorrow. He is nervous but yet excited about it too!! Just please keep him in your prayers and mind as school starts soon and he has never done this before really. The superadentant at the school is really nice and has already has he will help were/how he can!

Baby and mom are doing good. He is growing and of course I am getting bigger!!

3 AM July 26

Yes I am up at 3:00 in the morning with my doggy next to me sleeping.... my nose is SO congested I cannot breath through it and for those of you who don't know, I am not a mouth breather! I have blown my nose, gotten in a hot shower and now I am just here trying not to keep Jason awake. I know that in a couple of months I will be awake at times like this with my son, but at least there is a good reason with him and not just a stuffy nose!! GRRRRRRR oh well, maybe something will kick in soon and I can sleep a little!

I did go to the OB yesterday and the baby is doing good, heart beat sounds good, which is still the most amazing thing to hear! I feel totally blessed that the Lord would entrust me with His child! I still cannot get over the fact that there is a little one in there!!

A week from Monday I am flying to Montgomery, AL to visit family and friends and to have two baby showers!! I greatly appreciate those people!

Oh yea, I almost forgot, our house in Biloxi is still under contract, please pray that it sells, and Jason and I are going to go ride around and look at different houses (just the outside and the neighborhoods) in hopes that we can find one once I get back from AL.

the Biloxi house

So the house in Biloxi is FINALLY under contract.... To God Be The Glory!! He is awesome and it is being sold when we need it to be. We were hoping and praying to start looking for a house next month when I get back from Montgomery. We praise God for this and we are praying that we find a house here that we can afford and that we like. Please pray for us as we start this adventure. We are praying to be in a house in last September or early October before the baby is born (he is due Oct 25). It will be a lot of work, but with the Lord's help we can do it!!

The baby is doing good so far and so is mommy!! he is moving a lot and is still the most amazing feeling ever!! I have an OB appt this Friday, so we shall see how big he is getting!! Well that's all for now.

Baby Shower #1

So yesterday I had my first baby shower and it was up here in Ohio with the Smith family and it was so much fun! There were about 17 of us there and we got some really nice gifts. Got 4 of our big items, got our jogging stroller (from Aunt Ann, Ryan, and Airah), got our playpen (from Uncle Brian, Aunt Audra, Melissa, Andy, Ally, Christy and Tristan), got our rocker swing (from Peggy and Earl), and our high chair (from Aunt Lou, Cozmo, Callah, and Winston), and we got tons of other gifts (too man to mention). We also played a baby name game that was too funny!! Some of the names my family came up with are a little scary!! Had some great food and some awesome decorations. Kerri, my sister in law, painted a lot of animals and she also make a diaper cake!! She is very talented!! Jenny, my other sister in law, came up with the name game which like I said was fun and one that I had not heard of but gave Jason and me some ideas!! All in all it was a great shower and great time with family! It is nice to be close to this side of my family!! Pictures will be posted on bandjsmith.com

Bored

So my father in law finally got into town... he had a horrible time with Delta and all that fun stuff... it was the last nail in that coffin for Jason to never fly Delta again! LOL Anyway, we finally got in Monday and on Tuesday everybody came over here to hang out, and when Jason got off work and we just hung out. Then on Wednesday Kerri and I hung out at the house until the rest of them got here around lunch. Finally everybody got here and we out to lunch and then to a store downtown called Education Station, which has a lot of school stuff and toys for kids. A place I will probably visit a lot! :-) Then we went to a mansion for William J Orr here in Bellefontaine, it is interesting! Then when Jason got off work we went out to Indian Lake and hung out and cooked out. It was a long few days, and we are not done yet. Tonight we are going to a baseball game with Peggy, Earl, Kerri, Jason and myself. Aaron has band practice and Jenny is in TN to work on a video. Tomorrow we will be going to the lake again but this time we will have a boat that we will hang out on which will be fun!! Saturday we will be going to Dayton, Jenny will be back by then, and then Sunday we will go to Columbus to go to Uncle Brian's (Earl's brother) church and then a baby shower after with the Smith family!! I am SO looking forward to seeing all that family! Last time I saw them was last year at Jason's grandpa's funeral, which is not a good way to see family, so I am happy to see them on a good day!

Oh yea, PLEASE pray for Jason. He is a little bit of stress, he just found out yesterday that his boss, Jay, is leaving. He turned in his two weeks notice and is leaving for another job. We are hoping this means a raise and new title for Jason, but he is nervous due to the fact that he just started this job in May!! So please pray for him.

Family Time

So tomorrow my brother in law, his wife, my sister in law, my mother in law, and my father in law will be coming to our area to spend time. I am excited that they are all coming to visit!! My father in law has been through a little ordeal since yesterday!! He had a flight out yesterday and had a stop in Atlanta which of course had bad weather so it delayed his flight at first and then it finally got cancelled! He got a flight out of Atlanta to Cincinnati then to Columbus. Well of course his flight to Cincinnati was delayed which was going to make him late for his connecting flight and for a while I thought I was going to have to go get him which would have been over 2 hours away. Well then my brother in law left and was on his way and a few minutes later returned home saying his dad was on a flight to Columbus. The flight he was suppose to connect with was delayed too so he was able to get that flight and he finally made it to his destination. So he is finally here and coming to our place tomorrow!!

Anyway, just glad everybody is here and that we are all getting together!!

Stitches

So I had a doc appt today and I finally got my stitches out!! WOOHOO!! its about time, and now it's time to work on the scars! Rather have the scars to work on then the stitches still! so its all good!! Well, thats all for now!

Alright so I will finally get my stitches out tomorrow (10 July). I am SO happy that I get them out and that I get to use my thumb like a normal person! WOOHOO!!

Other then that not a whole lot is happening. Aaron and Jenny come home and they take Cali home this coming Saturday!! Then Peg and Earl will come visit us for a night or two and then we are off to Kerri's for a game that night and then camp for the weekend. We will spend Friday and Saturday at camp, and then Sunday we will go to Uncle Brian's church and then the baby shower!! I am looking forward to spending time with family.

And not too much longer I will be in Montgomery for a week to visit family and friends.

4th of July Weekend

So for the 4th we went to a place the Smith/Welch family call camp!! It is a place out in the middle of nowhere really that Peggy's family, my mother in law's family, built and I love it!! It is nice to go there where there is no phone or internet, just nature and woods!! It was nice to be there with Peggy (mother in law), Kerri (sister in law), and Jason. We also took our dog, Precious, and my brother in law's dog, Calli, that was interesting! Calli does not obey and she ran off, and if it were not for Peggy, Calli would be gone! She starting running up the road and Jason nor I were going to run after her! LOL We love the dog but my word... came back when we call you! Anyway, we had fun talking about past trips the Smiths took when the kids were younger, and making new ones!! It was so much fun and I cannot wait to go back in a couple of weeks!!

The thumb is doing better... get the stitches out on Thursday! I wanted to go ahead and take them out but Jason wont let me do it myself!! LOL It is still very sore, but its getting better. I will be happy when the swelling goes down and its back to normal! The knuckles are bruised so that is keeping me from using like normal! Anyway, that is about it for now! Hope you had a great 4th and thanked any troops that you know and prayed for the ones you don't!

Girl's Weekend

So I went to visit an aunt this weekend, she lives about 3.5 hrs away, and I had a great time. She is my favorite Aunt and she has the cutest dogs! But we hung out and went shopping and visited her Aunt Penna!! Got some nice maternity clothes from Aunt Lou and all in all had a great time just hanging out with Aunt Lou. We have been here for two months and I had not seen her which was way too long to be here without seeing her!!

Oh yea, so I left Aunt Lou's Sunday around 12 and should have been home around 3:30 or so. Well after being on the road for about an hour the truck (yes Jason's truck) over heated. After sitting on the side of the interstate for a while I looked to see that the radiator was empty!! Needless to say I was mad, mad at myself for not checking the fluid levels like my dad has always told me to do and because NOBODY stopped to help!! Either way, I got the truck cooled down and I got out of the truck to close the hood and when I went to shut the door I shut my thumb in the door. I did not realize how bad it was until I saw that my hand was covered in blood. Anyway, I finally got to my sister in law's house and she took me to the ER (which only took 2 hrs and 40 mins which is record timing to me). I ended up getting two stitches in one of the cuts and one stitch in the other. Other wise I am good... just a long trip home. Oh yea I finally got home at 12 noon on Monday!!

Just Stuff

So yesterday I was talking to a friend of mine on the computer and while I was talking to her my son decided to either dance on my stomach or use it as a punching bag!! It was pretty awesome!! He did that for a little while then he settled down and then a few minutes later he jumped, not sure why but he did!! It startled me!! Then last night I was laying down and was asleep and around 10:15 or so we had a little storm come through and he kept the baby awake and very time it thundered he jumped. It was hard cuz there was no way for me to really comfort him. One day I will be able to, and I cannot wait for that day to come. But for now I will content with him in me and growing and kicking me!! And we do not know his name yet, we have thought of a few, but it one of those things that I don't take lightly because it will be his name his whole life, so you know, no pressure on us!! LOL I know that the name will come to us, and his name is one thing we are keeping a secret!!

Baby News

So yesterday we went to the OB, and had an ultrasound done. It was really neat to see the baby's eyes, nose, mouth, chin, legs, arms, and a hang in front of the baby's face!! the baby is already shy like its Daddy!! At first the baby would not let us look at its face the first few times and finally it moved it's hand and we got a good look at the face and the baby is TOO cute. The doc did the 3-D pics of the face which is awesome!! But the baby is healthy and is in the 75%!! not too big, not too small!! LOL Weights about 1 pound and 3 ounces as of yesterday!
Oh yea I almost forgot to tell you... its a boy!! I am very excited!! We have not chosen any names, and that is one thing that will be kept a secret!! Sorry!! That's about all for now!

Time with Kerri

So I spent time yesterday with Kerri, my sister in law, and we had SO much fun. We went out to eat and then to the mall. At the mall they have a comedy club that we went to. It was fun and it was the first comedy club I had ever been to! I did not think I would like it but it was SO funny!! We had a great time!! It is great to be up in Ohio and to be able to hang out with family that I did not get to see a lot when we lived in the south. Today Jason's brother Aaron came and just hung out for a little while with him and I got to see him for about an hour before he headed back home. This weekend we are just chillin out at the house and Monday Jason has off so we are going to a park to have a picnic lunch and to go fishing, and then I have an OB appt. We will have our ultrasound to make sure the baby is doing good. I am SO excited about it!! I think that is it for now.

OK so today started off bad. did not get much sleep last night, the "vivid" dreams they warn you about have started. it was nothing about the baby, just some crazy nightmare. so I got up did my usual stuff and once Jason left for work I fell back to sleep which was about 7:15 and Precious and I slept until about 10:30. of course I still tired and the heartburn/acid reflux is right now the worst thing. so needless to say today is not a good day so far. and I still have all the house stuff to do and really don't feel like it! other wise the baby is good, sometimes waking me up kicking me. we have our ultrasound on Monday which we are both excited about!! I am ready to see this little one in black and white, not ready to see him/her in person yet!! well I think that is all for now.

Doc appt

So I had my first appt today with my new ENT and man I miss my ENT back in MS. I know I am going to have to get use to somebody else but I am just use to the doc back in MS and I really want to go back to him. Well, not sure how else to put my feelings about this into words, so please pray that I either get use to him or find one that I like.

So I am 21 weeks pregnant and loving it. Right now the baby is kicking like crazy. It is the most amazing feeling in the world! One thing I am really happy about is that I have not gained that much weight.... yet!! I know that as I get futher along I will gain more weight, but I hope not too much!! I am really excited about next monday, June 23, we will have an ultrasound and we will find out what we are having, but dont even think about asking, cuz we are not telling.... you all will find out soon enough!
